Instructions
Using a Blender
  1. Start by soaking the dates in warm water for 2 hours; remove the stems and mash it with a fork.
  2. Add the oats to a blender and grind it until it turns into a fine powder; put it aside and grind the roasted hazelnuts / or salted peanuts.
  3. Heat the dates a bit to soften, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix until the mixture starts to stick together. If the mixture is too dry, add a bit of hot water and mix until well combined.
  4. Scoop and roll the mixture into balls with your hands. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
Using a Food Processor
  1. Start by soaking the dates in hot water for 2 hours; remove the stems and mash with a fork.
  2. If you are using a food processor, add all ingredients into the machine and blend the mixture until the dough seems well combined and stick together.
  3. Scoop and roll the mixture into balls with your hands. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
Tips
  1. Store in a container either in the fridge or at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  2. Optional: You can fill it with nuts for extra crunchiness. I am using hazelnut, but pecans or almonds work perfectly.
