Ingredients
- 20 pcs Soaked and pitted Dates
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Roasted Hazelnut, or Salted peanut
- 3 tbsp Chia seeds
- 3 tbsp Peanut Butter
- 2 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt
- Optional Hazelnut, pecan...
Servings: balls
Instructions
Using a Blender
- Start by soaking the dates in warm water for 2 hours; remove the stems and mash it with a fork.
- Add the oats to a blender and grind it until it turns into a fine powder; put it aside and grind the roasted hazelnuts / or salted peanuts.
- Heat the dates a bit to soften, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix until the mixture starts to stick together. If the mixture is too dry, add a bit of hot water and mix until well combined.
- Scoop and roll the mixture into balls with your hands. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
Using a Food Processor
- Start by soaking the dates in hot water for 2 hours; remove the stems and mash with a fork.
- If you are using a food processor, add all ingredients into the machine and blend the mixture until the dough seems well combined and stick together.
- Scoop and roll the mixture into balls with your hands. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
Tips
- Store in a container either in the fridge or at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- Optional: You can fill it with nuts for extra crunchiness. I am using hazelnut, but pecans or almonds work perfectly.
